BRANÄS GROUP
From CSRD requirements to a completed dual materiality analysis
Xvii joined the Branäs Group as an operational partner and managed the entire DMA process – from training the management team to developing the methodology and producing a report in accordance with ESRS.
The challenge
faced by the Branäs Group, which operates several of Sweden’s largest ski resorts, was CSRD reporting. At the heart of the framework is the double materiality analysis (DMA) as set out by the ESRS, a methodologically demanding task that requires regulatory understanding, stakeholder analysis and operational capacity.
The company needed a partner who could manage the entire project, not just come in at the drafting stage.

What we did
Xvii came on board as an operational sustainability partner and managed the entire DMA project from start to finish:
- Training for senior management and key roles on what the CSRD means in practice
- Mapping of the value chain, stakeholders and external influencing factors (legal requirements, external pressures)
- Workshop on dual materiality assessment in accordance with the ESRS: methodological review and prioritisation of material aspects
- Presentation and review of the analysis results with management and the board
- Proposals for further work, specific priorities and guidance on implementing the sustainability strategy
Real benefits
Results
- A CSRD-compliant dual materiality analysis delivered in accordance with ESRS
- A structured methodology that can be reused in future reporting cycles
- Specific priorities for the Branäs Group’s ongoing sustainability work
- A management team that understands the CSRD in practice, not just as a compliance issue
