PEAB
From industrial estate to an ecosystem for industrial symbiosis
PEAB wanted to identify stakeholders and businesses that could establish themselves within the industrial symbiosis sector in Lockryd, a growing industrial area. The challenge was to identify opportunities for industrial symbiosis and future business set-ups in the Västra Götaland region, as well as to generate enthusiasm for the concept.

Solution
Xvii carried out a survey and stakeholder analysis:
- Mapping of stakeholders and relevant parties
- Over 40 interviews to gather different perspectives
- Mapping of circular flows and symbiosis scenarios
- Exploring specific opportunities such as waste heat from data centres and textile waste streams
- Actively disseminating knowledge and fostering engagement in industrial symbiosis
Real benefits
